I enjoy making school visits and meeting readers.
My Author Talks for middle grade students are interactive presentations that give participants an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas. Some of the topics I cover include:

• My experiences as a child writer and the teachers who  helped me
• How some of my real-life experiences became fiction
• Why humor is a great tool for serious subjects
• What it’s like to be a writer

Students identify real-life experiences and practice reimagining them to begin fictional stories.
